This set of songs represents the first work of a band that is clearly going to be a powerful force in the indie music scene. As if the sometimes beautiful, sometimes infectiously catchy nature of their songs weren't enough to make it notable, members Bobby Seus and Lee Barbara also wrote, performed, recorded, and mixed their freshly delivered EP, "Brightly Colored Tapes", at their own Portland recording studio, Color Blocks. Given that fact, the pristine recording quality of BCT is astounding. You'll be happy you downloaded this record. It is host to some incredibly good songwriting.
