Blue Rev is the third album by the Canadian indie band Alvvays, released on October 7, 2022 via Polyvinyl and Transgressive. It was produced by Shawn Everett along with Alvvays’ vocalist and guitarist Molly Rankin and guitarist Alec O’Hanley. The album was announced on July 6, 2022 along with the lead single “Pharmacist”. The rest of the singles were “Easy On Your Own?”, “Belinda Says”, “Very Online Guy” and “After The Earthquake”. The album recieved best new album from Pitchfork upon its release, who described it as “…a triumph of power pop, a densely layered, witty, blithe, and beautiful record that sets a new benchmark for the genre.“ The album reached number 61 on the US Billboard 200 chart, number 3 on the Top Alternative Albums chart, number 8 on Top Rock Albums and Independent Albums chart, number 2 on Tastemakers Albums chart and number 9 on Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart.
