Black Hole is medicide's 7th release. It is a sci-fi concept album, acting as a soundtrack to a non-existent film of the same title. The music and feel of the album are heavily influenced by Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey and Vangelis' scores for BladeRunner and numerous other works. The album itself is part of a larger body of work within the scope of the Black Hole project, which includes pieces of flash fiction, paintings, mail art and short film clips which serve to tell and expand the story of a lost spacecraft sent to explore the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way. The CD was recorded live in front of a small audience over the course of three days and is being internationally distributed through Storming the Base.
