Album
Summertime in New York. An apartment fronting as a music studio. Four musicians and shelves of instruments. EVA and her songs. And three days. That’s how EVA’s second album, “Bittersweet Sessions“ was conceived. Simple and straightforward, similar to earlier times when it was just enough to have musicians working together and then recording the result – without special effects, reparations, added extras. “When I came to New York to record, my hopes were to find a studio atmosphere which would be intimate and personal. A place where we could just escape and absorb the spirit of my music. I was really lucky to find such brilliant musicians who were more than enthusiastic about the idea– and that’s how we started”, EVA said. Three days they worked together in the apartment – and whenever they felt the mood was right they just pushed the record button. “In the end all my hopes were fulfilled” EVA said. Our playing was spontaneous, maybe not always perfect, but definitely authentic and real – and the best part is that we captured the atmosphere of the room”. This essence is the main difference between “Bittersweet Sessions” and EVA’s highly acclaimed debut album “Imported”, which had been released by Warner. “Bittersweet Sessions” is a collection of personal moments, intimate music you want to wrap yourself in – singer/songwriting that really reaches the listener. Singer/Songwriting with a heart. Acoustic guitars, percussion, a bass – tender melodies and above all EVA’s voice
