Ty Unwin and Barrie Webb create tuneful, colourful, and listenable musical textures with lilting rhythms, evocative of the natural world. Ty Unwin composed 'Big Steel Drum' and 'Big Wheel', both for trombone and tape, for Barrie Webb; and Unwin himself played all of the instruments on the tape. More, 'African Violet', Unwin's 3-part piece for tape alone with lots of African percussion and great rhythms, has already been used on a BBC TV documentary about an African elephant.
