Debut album from Anima Animus Animal, Be Deathless, is a dark, Sci-Fi journey of ambient electronic gothic opera. Classically trained vocalist, Alexis Karl of New York City and Synthesizer musician, Paul Ashton of Manchester England intertwine melodic, otherworldly sounds with the sometimes ethereal, sometimes growling vocals of Karl, who sings in many languages, from Sanskrit to Ancient Persian, French, Italian and Uzbek. Be Deathless tells the narrative of a woman transforming into a beast, a beast to that of a god and a god to a celestial being. Anima Animus Animal's live performances include dancers, fire eaters, trapeze artists Haitian voodoo drummers a narrator and film. Be Deathless was released in May 2010.
