The fourth release by Crazy Mountain Billies- "Badlands III" is the third effort in the "Badlands" series released Apr 15, 2011. The album was recorded in a remote cabin in the Black Hills of South Dakota during the winter of 2011. The entire production was self-recorded and produced by A.P. Bormes. The project was actually cut short due to computer failure and was rushed to completion because the equipment was randomly shutting down until it eventually burned out entirely- even after replacing internal components. The album is heavily instrumental, as vocals were the last thing to be layered onto the multi-track takes- and didn't get much time in the studio.
