From the desk of Kristian Day: In 2008, Toe Tag Pictures put out a request for fan art submission for their upcoming release of the August Underground DVD Box Set. I wanted to compose music that was just as ugly and difficult as the films themselves. I borrowed techniques with vinyl that were originally done by Boyd Rice on the early NON releases ("Easy Listening for Iron Youth: The Best of NON ", "Might! ", "Blood & Flame"). I mangle, sanded, and broke vinyl recordings I picked up at thrift stores. Most of the source vinyls were collections of children's songs, christian youth groups, and southern barber shop quartets. Along with 7 noise/music tracks, I also included 5 dialog tracks.
