This song is an future bass/alternative R&B song. It is about confronting a relationship because one party regards this relationship a higher priority than the other party, and it is best for both to separate from each other until they have matured and have their feelings sorted. It is time for both to interact with other people and form new relationships with greater highs. I wrote this because I expect relationships to go my way and when it didn’t exactly happen, toxic thoughts of inadequacy or lack of love have resulted in many breakdowns in my life. I’m pretty sure that bad relationship moments make you reflect on the relationship, and this song precisely captures that emotion when things are getting too rough for the parties involved; you want to let go; you want to expect less; you want to chase for a new high again.
