Almost There is LUCKI’s first and only project of 2020 released on May 29th. Although the number of tracks would suggest that it is an album or a mixtape, LUCKI suggests that it’s an extended play. On this project, LUCKI takes a far more laid back and psychedelic approach compared to his previous work, rapping about his vehicles, heartbreak, and drug abuse — nothing shy of his usual subject matter on his tracks. LUCKI first posted the project’s cover on his Instagram on May 21, 2020. The tracklist and cover were posted on the night before the project would be released. Two singles were released to back the album, “Faith” and “TUNE & SCOTTY.” The cover art for Almost There is inspired by Radiohead’s 1997 album OK Computer.
