Almost Lazarus was released in 2008. Almost Lazarus was created by Rusty “Krash” Baxter to thank God for his miraculous survival of a traumatic brain injury near death experience from being hit by a SUV while riding his motorcycle in May 2007. The doctors, nurses, and therapists all told him “God, has a plan for you. We can’t tell you what it is but, there is no reason you should have survived.” Rusty had 4 subarachnoid hemorrhages (read about one here http://www.medterms.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=12415). He was bleeding to about two thirds of his brain and at times his heart rate was so low, the heart monitor flat lined unable to detect his heart beat while he was in ICU. After a few days his brain functions were quickly returning to normal, the ICU medical staff told him “The second miracle is that you are getting well so fast.” The song “Almost Lazarus” is a short biography about the Rusty “Krash” Baxter near death experience.
