Alfredo 2 is a collaborative studio album by American rapper Freddie Gibbs and hip-hop producer The Alchemist. The album was released on July 25, 2025, through Gibbs’s ESGN Records and ALC Records, with distribution by Virgin Music Group. It serves as a sequel to the pair’s critically acclaimed and Grammy-nominated 2020 album, Alfredo. Background and Release Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist first worked together on the 2018 project Fetti (with Curren$y) and solidified their partnership with Alfredo in 2020, which was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards. Alfredo 2 was announced in July 2025 after weeks of speculation, cryptic teasers, and an advance screening of Alfredo: The Movie, a stylistic short film directed by Nick Walker and shot in Japan. The film establishes a noir aesthetic and features Gibbs and The Alchemist as partners in a crime-inspired narrative based in a ramen shop. To commemorate the release, a special event was held at HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles on July 19, 2025, including a photo exhibition and an advance album listening session. Additionally, 100 signed vinyl copies were made available as limited editions.
