On the fifth and newest offering from The Air Department, multi-instrumentalist and composer Roger Ebacher continues to explore the boundless expanse of World Jazz. Airstream is a rich collection of expressive music, with earthy grooves and deep textured layers that will delight the eclectic ears of today's World Music and Jazz fans. The title gives away some of the story here, as Airstream prominently features Ebacher on the unique wind instrument for which he is most well known, the Melody Flute, as well as the Casio DH -100 Digital Horn, the other wind instrument on which he has pushed the limits beyond all reasonable expectations. But this music is not strictly for musicologists or genre-centric afficionados...the rhythms, the harmonies, and the melodies presented on Airstream will instantly engage all creative listeners, from the casual to the connoisseur.
