Album
AFTERIMAGE is dreamy art pop with velvety male vocals atop sparse atmospheric textures. Through minimalist compositions, Elsehow (the solo project of Italian-Belgian artist Piero Delux) explores states of memory, perception, and lingering emotional connections. Refracting inspiration from the passionate depth of David Sylvian, the cinematic ambition of Scott Walker, and the late-period minimalism of Talk Talk and Mark Hollis, AFTERIMAGE’s melodic fragments, delicate textures, and subtle rhythms construct sensitive, spectral vignettes. Delux’s voice — silky, intimate, and sincere — guides the listener through shifting moods and quiet intensity. His expressive lyrics echo the album’s themes of recollection, impermanence, and emotional ambiguity where light and shadow coexist. “I think of AFTERIMAGE as a collection of sonic echoes,” Piero reflects, “moments half-remembered, blurred by time and feeling. Like a drifting memory or fading dream, it’s built from fragments — sounds and images at the edge of recognition. Each piece is a window into a liminal state: between past and present, stillness and blur.” Elsehow’s 3rd album AFTERIMAGE is a contemplative work rich with artful poetic nuanced work exploring the underlying quality between sound and self.
