Album
Acoustic Dimorphism represents John Danley’s 8th independent solo release (October 2009) on his own Nashville based Tetrapod Recordings label. Spanning a conceptual incubation period of over 3 years, this album offers an eclectic hybrid of original, instrumental acoustic guitar music. Predominant forms include neo-bluegrass, bossa nova, percussive-driven harmonies, Americana and European ballads executed using a variety of contemporary fingerstyle guitar techniques. In an attempt to synthesize tradition with modern experimentation, Acoustic Dimorphism displays an evolution of acoustic textures and sonic panoramas often presented via Danley’s quirky sense of humor and irony without eschewing an appreciation for the sublime.
