An Opus Imperfectum. A collection of sixteen tracks that have been culled from several planned but cancelled releases: the "Death Musick" split cassette with PTC (tracks 1, 2 and 15), the "Conscience" album (tracks 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14), the "Ex Chao Praesentiam Draconigenarum Evocamus" split MLP with Symphonia Sacrosancta Phasmatum (track 16), and various previously unreleased tracks (tracks 6, 7, 8 and 12), all recorded between 2004 and 2007. Track 14 was performed as Hammemit. "About the musick... The musick on this album spans a period of about 3 or 4 years, from the time just before the recording of the "A Sword of Death for the Prince" album, up until the beginnings of the birth pangs of Hammemit. "Abortions" shows almost the full diversity of Emit's work, from harsh and aggressive tracks to more reflective, melancholic pieces. In many ways it echoes upon my own personality and actions in the physical world. None of the tracks included her would have been released otherwise, for various reasons needless to expand at this point. Some tracks are included more for the sake of completeness than musickal value (i.e. "Division"), so that a fuller picture is revealed, showing the process of ideas and inspirations that led to the further evolution of Emit. Some of the tracks on "Abortions" are not what people would consider typical Emit working(although "typical" is a relative word in regards to Emit).
