'A Ways To Go' is a massive step forward for this pair with their own blend of fuzzed up delta blues rock music coming even more to the fore in this release. I have been lucky enough to also see them play most of this album live recently, and the album almost catches the live vibe. Particular live favourites are the first track on the album 'On Shotgun' with the banging cowbell, 'Ballad Of A Bad Man' that has a hypnotic rhythm in the toms to the guitar & vocals making you sit and just love this track, also 'The Old Black & White' is a complete break from the norm with just stomping bass drum, picking guitar,amazing lyrics with powerful vocals all about the dangers of drugs, but advocating (my favourite tipple) Guinness as a viable option...just genius !!!
