The band comprises Coyle Girelli (vocals, guitar), Mat Steel (guitar, vocals), Mark Heaton (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Jon Langford (bass) and Mal Taylor (drums). In late 2004 they acquired the services of Heaton, a friend from the Leeds music scene and Taylor, who was an old school friend. In 2005 the band released two indie singles, Your Vegas and Flybuzz on White Duke Records, the latter hitting number 12 in the UK Indie Singles Charts and began extensively touring the UK. In the summer of that year they performed on the unsigned stage at Leeds Festival. In 2006 Girelli decided to visit some friends in New York City and after playing a few acoustic shows and handing out some demos a buzz began to build around the band.
