'A New Beginning' is a concept album of 9 related songs. The style of the music varies throughout the album and it's difficult to classify under a single category. It's an experimental work which borrows elements from downtempo electronica, ambient and with occasional funky and even atonal bits. The continuous flow of the tracks and the varied musical textures help create a narrative style which is an essential part of it. Therefore, it is best experienced when the whole is listened at once. Due to this nature of the album, it has also been mixed in 5.1 surround sound to give the listeners a complete experience. The DVD version also includes a 17 minute documentary and Inal's personal log book entries during the production of the album.
