about this album

The Farsiders have been performing and releasing music since the days of home recording on cassettes. It's now time to enter the digital world. Warrington based troubadours / musicians, Richard Boast (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, piano, organ, ukulele, drums) and Nicholas McCarthy (bass, guitar, piano, harmonica, backing vocals, vocals, drums) write and perform all the tracks. ‘A Long Time passing’ was recorded between October 2018 and March 2019, released 4th June and available to stream from 24th July. This album takes in many of their influences, the late 1960s Beach Boys in particular, are prevalent in the laid back production and harmonies, to create a gentle and smooth sound, with songs about love, life, loss and locality.
