about this album

“40 MISSED CALLS” was posted by SOWHATIMDEAD (real name Derrick), who then deleted it about a month later. Derrick went on to sell Lil Peep’s verse to a musician named Blayne Buehler, giving the buyer the rights. Blayne B claims that Derrick was not planning to appear on this new version of the track, but himself, Lil Peep and love-sadkid were. Peep then tragically passed away before the song was complete, but Blayne B and love-sadkid wanted to go through with releasing the song. With the new mix, there was a spot for another artist to add a verse. At this point, Youtuber-Musician Dax reached out to Blayne B, asking to be featured on the song. It was negotiated that if Dax was put on the project, the exchange would be him posting to his channel that has 1,000,000+ subscribers. Dax requested the audio files for the track, claiming he needed to get the project approved by his label. Blayne B sent them to Dax, who then hired a producer to make a new beat, take Lil Peep’s verse and re-mix it, remove everybody else off the song, and add two new Dax verses (thus making a song that only Peep and Dax feature on). As if stealing the music wasn’t enough, Dax also shot a music video for the “new” song he created, which included stolen footage taken by Peep’s photographer. “Stolen” may sound like a strong word, but seeing as Dax did not pay for any of this content (and would have/did profit off it), it is unlawfully in his possession.
