2nd, also known as "this is nmperign's second cd.", was, in fact, Nmperign's second CD. But it was the first CD to feature Nmperign as a duo (many tracks were recorded during their six-week U.S. tour in 1998). It was also the first CD to include Nmperign with Jason Lescalleet. And it is really the first time that the Nmperign "sound" truly emerged on recording. "not yet winter. autumn still." and "the sea is never black" were recorded in Bloomington, IN and feature the duo cold and bare. "bliss viscera" is the third track to feature just Rainey and Kelley, this one recorded in Brookline, MA. Much Nastier. "laughter of birds bloody mud" was recorded at RRRecords in Lowell, MA. This was the first collaboration between Nmperign and Jason Lescalleet. Raucous. "the moon is a clear mark of midnight" was the last performance of Nmperign with Tatsuya Nakatani.
