SANDIA MAN's Debut release, in the Spring of 2009. The band is named after our most famous local caveman, who lived in Sandia Cave up on the Crest above Albuquerque, NM, and the song “Sandia Man” is about what I imagined his life might have been like. Nature has always fascinated me, as has its awesome power, so an apocalyptic theme runs through our material. The second one is based upon a short story by horrormeister Clive Barker . “Skins of the Fathers” is based upon the story of the same name, and I’ve gotten Mr. Barker’s kind permission to use the idea. I’ve always enjoyed horror in books, films, & comics, so that song is a tribute to the genre, Clive Barker in particular, but also the whole lineage through Stephen King to H.P. Lovecraft & Poe.
