Studio
Telltale Inc. is an American video game developing studios founded in 2004 and closed in 2018. The company is primarily known for their episodic adventures with fameless intellectual properties first like Wallace & Gromit and Sam & Max. However, later on, the assembly acquired rights for The Walking Dead franchise, Borderlands series and The Game of Thrones. Thus, the commercially successful titles were published all bearing the episodic structure with the choices within the episode affecting the whole further playthrough. The graphics in the game are stylized and cartoonish and, in case of Tales of the Borderlands is matching the main series. All of the games are developed on TellTale Tool — the gaming engine utilizing Lua programming language. The company has announced their move to Unity developing and Stranger Things title should have become the first example, but at the fourth October the developers were massively fired, and the studio has been closed as non-profitable.
